Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Senior Food Scientist to join the Equipment group in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role provides food science and engineering expertise to customers, sales, service, and engineering and ensures compliance with 3A PMO and related standards.

You will consult with cross-functional teams, stay updated on processing technologies, and train engineers on sanitary design. Travel up to 50% and participation in company-wide training programs are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Food Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation with engineering on sanitary design and PMO/3A compliance.
• Stay up to date on processing issues and PMO/3A standards changes.
• Troubleshoot food science issues with service team and customers.
• Develop and deliver 3A-compliant design training for engineering.
• Train engineers to diagnose field food science issues.
