Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to support operations as the primary in-field safety advisor and business partner for safety, health, environmental, food safety, and risk programs.

The role reports to Safety & Risk Solutions and collaborates with operations to implement and improve safety initiatives, audits, and corrective actions across multiple sites and client accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Food Safety, Risk Management, or related field preferred; equivalent education, experience, training may be considered.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in occupational safety, EHS, food safety, risk management, QA, or related field.
• Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, training, and safety programs.
• Working knowledge of safety, food safety and sanitation, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical operational guidance and partner with frontline teams and leaders.
• Experience in complex, client-facing, multi-site hospitality or foodservice environments preferred.
• Credentials such as OSHA 10/30, ServSafe, HACCP, ASP, CSP or comparable safety credentials preferred; specific credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-field safety and risk resource for assigned accounts, locations, business units, portfolios, or regions.
• Partner with operational leaders to integrate safety and risk into daily business activities while maintaining direction from Safety & Risk Solutions.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of Aramark's safety and risk programs, standards, processes, and SAFE Commitment.
• Conduct and support audits, inspections, risk assessments, and reviews; identify hazards and gaps; monitor corrective actions.
• Lead and support investigations involving injuries, incidents, vehicle accidents, property losses, food safety events, and other applicable events; communicate lessons learned.
• Develop and facilitate safety training, coaching, communications, and engagement initiatives to strengthen leadership and participation.
• Provide guidance across occupational safety, food safety and sanitation, environmental compliance, and related risks.
• Analyze incidents and performance data to identify trends and propose risk-reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, Safety & Risk Solutions, Operations and internal partners; escalate significant risks as needed.
• Provide safety and risk support for mobilizations, transitions, openings, and organizational changes.
