Job summary

Snack Innovations Inc. in Piscataway, NJ is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across packaging lines.

You will support operators, reduce downtime, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain records. The role requires at least 5 years of food-manufacturing equipment experience and the ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, or alternate shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining food processing, packaging, or related equipment.
• Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot quickly in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food manufacturing, packaging, and material handling equipment across lines and components.
• Troubleshoot electrical devices and related controls (relays, motors, switches, breakers, sensors).
• Perform preventative maintenance per checklists and safety procedures.
• Respond quickly to equipment issues and help reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate service, repair, and parts records.
• Assist with spare parts inventory and reordering needs.
• Train production operators on operation, safety, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, quality, sanitation, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Follow safety practices, food standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.
