Job summary

Seattle Human Services Department seeks a senior supervisor for the food and nutrition unit to oversee a diverse team delivering three federal childcare nutrition programs. You will supervise coordinators, assist with annual OSPI reimbursements, and coordinate trainings with internal and external partners to ensure compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Requires three years of experience in human services or contract administration, service delivery, community organizing, including one year of supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a dynamic team of nutrition specialists including 4 FTE human services coordinators, 1 FTE assistant coordinator, plus 6 summer staff; support manager and admin.
• Supervise three direct service federal childcare nutrition programs: Childcare Nutrition Program, Childcare Centers, and Summer Food Program.
• Coordinate and facilitate annual and trimester CACFP trainings for the team and community trainings.
• Ensure OSPI reimbursement monthly for all three programs; track and submit yearly OSPI applications.
• Lead coordination with internal and external partners to meet public needs and federal requirements.
• Oversee Summer Food Program setup, including hiring and supervising staff and vehicle fleet.
• Monitor programs regularly and ensure services meet cadence and regulatory requirements.
• Attend community meetings and trainings; support annual program trainings and conferences.
• Develop process improvements when regulations change; ensure the team has tools and training.
