Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Science, or closely related discipline
• 5–10 years of experience in analytical lab environments
• Advanced expertise in chromatographic and spectrometric techniques (HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS)
• Strong understanding of method development, validation, lifecycle management
• In‑depth knowledge of ISO, HACCP, GMP/GLP as applicable
• Ability to interpret complex analytical data and solve technical challenges
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data evaluation tools
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely in a team
• Strong organisational and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, verification, and transfer of analytical methods for food testing (contaminants, residues, nutrition)
• Evaluate complex analytical datasets ensuring validity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with intercompany facilities to manage client product testing and timely delivery of results
• Review data from instruments (HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS) for trends and issues
• Lead investigations (OOS/OOT) and implement CAPAs
• Provide expert troubleshooting with on-site teams
• Oversee method transfer and comparability studies
• Develop and review validation protocols, study reports, risk assessments, and scientific justifications
• Ensure data integrity through audits and electronic records review
• Collaborate with QA/regulatory teams for audits and inquiries
• Act as SME for analytical chemistry in food testing operations
• Provide training and mentorship on analytical techniques and data interpretation
• Liaise with clients for technical consultation and problem solving
• Stay current with analytical technologies and regulatory developments
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains
• Track and manage change requests
• Assist with sample logistics and FDA compliance
