Job summary

Firefly Aerospace seeks a Fluids Ground Support Equipment (FGSE) Engineer to own complete lifecycle of fluid systems at launch sites and test stands. You will design, build, and optimize incompressible, cryogenic, and high-pressure gas systems, generating schematics, BOMs, CAD drawings and supporting manufacturing and activation.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in internal and external design reviews, and travel to test and launch sites up to 30% to support builds and commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of fluid systems experience in design, test or operations.
• Experience with valves, regulators, transducers, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and build fluid test stands and launch pad systems.
• Own full fluid system design cycle: schematics, BOMs, CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with technicians/welders and lead design reviews and readiness reviews.
• Travel to test and launch sites up to 30% as required.
