Firefly Aerospace is seeking an experienced fluids/mechanical engineer to design, integrate, and maintain complex fluid systems for our global launch sites. You will lead design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support launch operations with robust hardware and procedures.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with mechanical, propulsion, fluid, or flight/test systems.
• Experience designing, building, troubleshooting, or operating complex fluid systems.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and perform hazard/risk analyses (FMEA/FMECA/HAZOP).
• Strong task prioritization in high-pressure environments; proactive and self-motivated.
• Experience with vendor management, budgets, schedules, and senior stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with standards/regulations (ASME, NFPA, NEC, NASA STD, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and activate new fluid systems across global launch sites.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate ground operations and launch pad integration.
• Develop maintenance strategies to maximize system availability.
• Provide technical write-ups for proposals and regulatory tailoring.
• Travel up to 25% to test and launch sites.
