Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Fluid Systems Engineer to support development and flight test of liquid cooling and thermal management systems for the X-BAT jet-engine VTOL platform. You will design components and fluid systems, engage with suppliers, perform system sizing and analysis, and own multiple aspects of X-BAT’s fluid systems.

Travel to flight test operations (Newton, KS) may be required. The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience with environmental control, liquid cooling and thermal systems.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build and test with rigor.

Responsibilities

• Design components and fluid systems for jet-engine VTOL platform.
• Engage with suppliers and manage interfaces.
• Perform system sizing and analysis of fluid systems.
• Own multiple aspects of X-BAT fluid systems.
• May travel to support flight test operations (Newton, KS).
