Audubon Companies is seeking a Flow Measurement and Automation Specialist to support gas and liquid measurement projects in Houston, TX. The role involves configuring, testing, and commissioning flow computers, meters, and control systems with hands-on field work and engineering support.

Under direction of an Automation Lead Engineer, you will validate calculations, integrate with PLC/DCS/SCADA, develop HMI graphics, and ensure compliance with AGA/API standards. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical education and relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Support selection and specification of flow computers, meters, pressure and temperature instruments, and data acquisition devices based on fluid properties, operating conditions, accuracy requirements, and client standards.
• Configure and program flow computers, including meter runs, input scaling, calculation methods, base conditions, gas composition, meter factors, pulse scaling, alarms, totalizers, and reports, as applicable to the service.
• Verify flow calculations and measurement parameters against approved project requirements and applicable AGA and API measurement standards.
• Integrate flow computers and meters with PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and historians; configure and troubleshoot serial and Ethernet communications (Modbus RTU/TCP).
• Develop HMI graphics for flow rates, totals, status, alarms, and diagnostics; verify displayed values and data quality.
• Prepare and execute factory and site acceptance tests, loop checks, and commissioning procedures; verify inputs, totalization, communications, alarms, and calculations.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies; coordinate calibration, meter proving, and verification activities.
• Configure and verify measurement archives, event logs, audit trails, time sync, and backups; maintain change records.
• Review client documents, P&IDs, vendor drawings; prepare configuration records, communications maps, sketches, calculations, test reports, and as-built docs.
• Participate in client and internal meetings, shop visits, and site activities; communicate issues clearly and manage schedules and budgets.
