Job summary

Compass Group USA in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Floor Technician to perform floor maintenance and restoration using industrial equipment. The role requires prior floor care experience and the ability to operate equipment safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

The position is full-time with a 3:30 pm–12:00 am schedule and benefits package. Location is at University of South Florida with openings at other district locations; online applications are accepted.

Qualifications

• Prior floor care experience is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning and vacuuming.
• Conducts maintenance and restoration for all floor types.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time SENIOR FLOOR TECHNICIAN position.
• Location: University of South Florida - 4202 East Fowler, Tampa, FL 33620. (Openings at other locations within school district available)Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior floor care experience is required.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $23.49 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
