Job summary

Crate & Barrel is seeking a Distribution Center Floor Operations Manager to lead daily operations and drive both tactical and strategic initiatives. You will inspire your team to meet short-term and long-term goals, ensuring smooth inbound/outbound processes and safety compliance.

The role requires strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, solid communication and leadership abilities, and a track record of improving operational flows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years distribution experience, 2 years supervisory experience.
• Associate’s Degree in related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related software

Responsibilities

• Manage labor plans to ensure staffing levels per budgets for overtime, full-time and temporary labor.
• Ensure productivity measurement standards are met.
• Identify and resolve critical distribution issues for inbound and outbound processes.
• Implement improvements for operational flows and reassign staff as necessary.
• Create an environment that fosters open and positive team communication.
• Facilitate team meetings.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring for distribution center associates.
• Ensure staff are properly trained.
• Support all efforts and initiatives across the operation.
• Perform safety observations and coach associates on procedures.
• Lead investigations for safety incidents using root cause analysis.
• Lead OSHA and company safety programs and act as a role model.
• Serve as backup for other floor managers when needed.
• Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems.
