Job summary

APTIM invites a seasoned Project Manager to lead federal, state, local, and commercial flood risk and civil projects in the Gulf States. You will oversee planning, funding, engineering, and stakeholder coordination while driving business development and client relationships.

You will mentor staff, manage large program budgets, and coordinate with senior leaders to position APTIM for growth. Strong English communication and travel willingness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or similar field.
• 15+ years PM experience in flood control, planning, or environmental consulting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of flood risk reduction and related projects with large program values.
• Act as primary client relationship manager for public-sector accounts.
• Lead all phases of project delivery including planning, funding, and construction oversight.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop funding strategies utilizing federal, state, and local sources.
• Provide executive oversight for project financial performance and profitability.
• Lead business development including capture planning and proposals.
• Maintain strategic relationships with officials and industry partners.
• Provide senior leadership for emergency response and flood-fight efforts.
• Mentor project managers and support workforce development and succession.
• Establish QA, risk management and project controls processes.
• Represent APTIM at conferences and client advisory committees.
