Job summary

Weekday seeking an experienced Flink Leader to drive design, development, and delivery of large-scale real-time data processing solutions in the United States. The role requires deep Apache Flink expertise, strong Java programming skills, and proven leadership of engineering teams.

You will mentor engineers, define technical roadmaps, establish best practices, and lead end-to-end data engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with data engineering and streaming tech.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale real-time data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of real-time streaming applications using Apache Flink.
• Design scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems capable of handling high-volume data streams.
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence and collaboration.
• Drive end-to-end project delivery from requirements analysis to production support.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Develop robust Java services and data pipelines.
• Implement data processing pipelines, stream analytics, and monitoring solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed environments.
• Establish coding standards and engineer best practices.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production issues.
