Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to perform ground and flight ATPs, troubleshoot avionics and mechanical issues, and handle preflight/postflight inspections. The role requires coordinating with engineering and customers to ensure successful acceptance flights.

The candidate should have helicopter/aviation experience, FAA certifications as applicable, and flexibility to work on the flight line.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of aviation technology, especially avionics.
• Able to perform rotor and engine adjustments and interpret flight data.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform flight and ground ATPs and evaluate flight data.
• Maintain flight records and documents with accuracy.
• Coordinate flight activities with pilots and operations teams.
• Perform RTB adjustments and aircraft acceptance with customers.
• Collaborate with engineering on issues and ATP implementations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
