Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Flight Test Engineer to plan, execute, analyze, and improve ground and flight test operations for a fast-paced next-gen aircraft system. You will work across engineering, operations, autonomy, systems integration, product support, and manufacturing.

You will develop comprehensive flight test plans, coordinate pre-/in-flight activities, analyze data for trends and anomalies, and document results in clear reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with hands-on flight test experience.
• Ability to plan, execute, and report structured flight tests.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and work in field and hangar environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and execute flight test plans and safety reviews.
