Job summary

Poseidon Aerospace is seeking a seasoned Flight Test Engineer to lead planning, preparation, and execution of flight and ground test campaigns for autonomous cargo aircraft. You will bridge design engineering and operations, ensuring safe, data-driven validation across full-scale platforms.

You will collaborate with Avionics, Propulsion, Flight Controls, and Structural teams, analyze telemetry, and produce detailed test reports with clear airworthiness conclusions. Relocation support possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight test plans, cards, and FHA for full-scale autonomous aircraft.
• Serve as Test Director during ground runs, taxi tests, and envelope-expansion flight tests.
• Monitor real-time telemetry and analyze flight data to assess performance across vehicle systems.
• Define requirements for flight test instrumentation and data acquisition sensors onboard test assets.
• Collaborate with Avionics, Propulsion, Flight Controls, and Structures teams to set objective pass/fail criteria.
• Lead pre-flight briefings and post-test debriefs, enforcing safety protocols on the flight line.
• Document results in formal flight test reports highlighting anomalies and airworthiness findings.
