Job summary

ASR International Corporation is seeking a Software/Instrumentation Engineer to support ground and flight test data systems in the Newport News area. This senior role covers configuration, operation, and development of data acquisition, display, reduction, and analysis tools. Candidates must be US citizens and ready to work on-site in the Ft.

Eustis area. The ideal candidate will have an ABET-accredited degree in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering with extensive aviation/R&D

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with 8+ years data collection experience (8y for Bachelor, 6y for Master).
• Aviation or R&D experience is required or highly preferred.
• Strong CAD/schematic experience; flight test instrumentation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Configure PCM, aircraft data bus, Ethernet, IRIG-106 systems.
• Review, debug, and evolve custom software (MATLAB, LabVIEW, C#, C++, Visual Basic).
• Support flight testing from pre-flight to post-flight; potential in-flight duties.
• Oversee less-senior staff and mentor junior engineers.
