Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company based in California, is seeking a Flight Test Maintenance Engineer to support our all-electric air vehicle program. You will perform development, experimental and production maintenance, and ensure aircraft availability for daily flight test operations while upholding safety and FAA regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on work with fly-by-wire systems, wiring, and high voltage equipment, plus collaboration with engineers and technicians to improve aircraft

Qualifications

• FAA A&P license required.
• 8+ years of aerospace maintenance experience.
• Hands-on with fly-by-wire aircraft and flight test instrumentation.
• Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience.
• Experience with high voltage systems and wiring techniques.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a fly-by-wire aircraft to aviation standards.
• Perform development, experimental and production maintenance tasks.
• Preflight, marshal, and maintain aircraft for daily flight tests.
• Develop maintenance policies and procedures for flight tests.
• Ensure calibration of test equipment and tools.
• Maintain FAA-required aircraft maintenance records.
• Communicate deficiencies to Maintenance/Engineering.
• Assist in design feedback for repairability and maintainability.
