Relativity Space is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to lead core flight software development for the Terran R program. You will architect solutions, set standards, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with GNC, Embedded, and Avionics teams to integrate sensors and actuators in a high-reliability system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software development experience.
• Expert in Rust, C++, and other system languages.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS fundamentals.
• Familiar with networking (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, and bug tracking.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver core flight software for Terran R with latency and jitter requirements.
• Collaborate with GNC, Embedded, and Avionics teams to integrate sensors and actuators.
• Develop telemetry handling and data routing to ground stations.
• Mentor junior engineers and define team standards and best practices.
• Support testing infrastructure like HITL and HOOTL.
