Job summary

Actalent is seeking an engineer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical flight software for satellite imaging payloads and ADCS subsystems. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure robust and reliable software delivery across the project lifecycle.

The role requires deep expertise in C/C++, Python, Embedded Linux, and mission-critical systems, with experience in Buildroot/Yocto tooling and board bring-up.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with 10+ years of experience in commercial or embedded software production.
• Expert proficiency in C/C++ and Python and deep experience in Embedded Linux and mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical flight software for satellite imaging payloads and attitude determination and control (ADCS) subsystems.
• Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and provide technical expertise to ensure robust and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and verification teams to ensure integrate-able software delivered on time.
