Salary Range: $130,000-$200,000 base plus 0.08%-0.5% equity.

Job Overview: Our client is looking for a Senior Flight Software Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is excited to develop software that is used to control and fly our clients' products. You will have the opportunity to help architect the full software stack including application, operating system, networking, and firmware. You will work closely with your peers to define and implement the requirements and overall software scope. Your work at this company will be fast-paced in a dynamic startup environment and will have a direct impact on our clients' mission.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Develop highly reliable autonomous software systems and the simulations/infrastructure required to validate them.
2. Own all aspects of software development including design, test, and operations.
3. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to design and develop the overall aircraft systems.

Candidate Requirements:

1. 4+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline from a top university, or 6+ years of professional software development experience.
2. Experience in C++, Rust, or other systems programming language.
3. Experience building or working with real-time systems or distributed computing systems.
4. Experience working on embedded systems or the Linux kernel.
5. Proven skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
6. Basic knowledge in controls, fluid systems, motors, or other physical mechanics.
