Job summary

The Simulator Maintenance Technician II position performs intermediate to advanced maintenance, calibration, and repair on simulators, trainers, and related electronic systems. It requires reading schematics, using test instruments, and performing complex troubleshooting to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance activities, calibrating systems, and supervising junior technicians while supporting flight training operations and CBT networks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• DoD IAT Level II Certification required or obtainable within 180 days of start date.
• Three to five years of experience as a flight simulator technician or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Capable of performing all Electronic Maintenance Technician 1 tasks.
• Analyze malfunctions and perform repair, calibration, inspection, overhaul, modification, and re-programming of simulators and related systems.
• Read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Perform final calibration and functional tests of equipment and instructors.
• Install and maintain CBT networks, servers and workstations.
• Instruct junior technicians and assist with collateral duties as needed.
