Job summary

Lunar Outpost is seeking an experienced Lead Flight Engineer to plan, prepare, and execute LTV missions in support of NASA’s Artemis program. The role involves development, integration, testing, and execution of mission planning and operations products, with frequent NASA and internal reviews.

The position requires on-site work Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, with Wednesday remote work, and may include after-hours as needed to support Artemis missions. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or other fields of physical science.

Responsibilities

• Develop LTV ground and flight procedures and operational documentation.
• Develop and execute Flight Plans according to programmatic mission requirements.
• Develop Flight Rules to ensure crew and vehicle safety.
• Support planning of Artemis missions through coordination with NASA and stakeholders.
• Provide real-time operations support as an LTV flight controller.
• Make decisions during Artemis mission operations to manage resources for safety and success.
• Develop responses to contingencies for crew/vehicle and ground systems.
• Lead the initial development of LTV plan-train-fly processes for Artemis support.
• Support MCC console configuration and tool development with Mission Systems.
