Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr. Flight Controls Engineer to analyze real flight data, tune flight control and navigation systems, and collaborate across flight dynamics, guidance, navigation, and control, software, and avionics.

Based in Bingen, WA, this fully onsite role demands a strong background in aerospace and hands-on flight data analysis, with DO-178C familiarity and experience with PX4/ArduPilot being a plus. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace/Avionics/Electrical/Control Systems.
• 10+ years in aerospace, UAV, or flight control engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on flight data analysis and validation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze real flight data and compare to flight models.
• Diagnose aircraft behavior, both expected and unexpected.
• Tune and evaluate flight control and navigation systems.
• Collaborate across flight dynamics, GNC, software and avionics.
• Make informed decisions about aircraft behavior and performance.
• Document findings clearly for team use.
