Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Wichita, KS is seeking a Senior Professional, Engineering to lead FBW and Secondary Flight Control integration and certification activities on Challenger/Global Express programs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 7+ years in aerospace, and strong modeling, simulation, and interface knowledge across electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems. Strong communication in English and French is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 7 years’ aerospace experience.
• Involved in definition and certification of at least one FBW/Secondary Flight Control.
• Knowledge of system definition, integration, and certification; aircraft systems and interfaces.
• Part 25 certification knowledge.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Familiarity with ADAMS or CATIA is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Ability to work with limited supervision; team player; customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
• Support development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the Flight Control system supplier.
• Perform/Review analysis to evaluate concepts feasibility.
• Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.
• Review/Prepare technical requirements.
• Review/Prepare test procedures.
• Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing.
• Review/Prepare test reports in support of certification activities.
• Resolve problems arising from in-service aircraft.
• Troubleshooting, root cause determination, corrective action definition and execution.
• Ensure compliance to the ARP4754 development process.
• Support trade off studies and life cycle cost analysis for future programs.
• Ensure the design process and the resulting equipment implementation is in line with Bombardier's requirements and standards.
