Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA is seeking a Senior Professional, Engineering to lead the integration of the FBW and Secondary Flight Controls for high‑precision aircraft programs. The role involves working with suppliers, performing feasibility analyses, and driving the requirements through to certification.

On-site responsibilities include collaboration with Bombardier programs and site visits to regulatory authorities as requested, with occasional travel to supplier facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
• Support development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the Flight Control system supplier.
• Perform/review analyses to evaluate concepts feasibility.
• Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.
• Review/prepare technical requirements, test procedures, and test reports for certification activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and regulatory authorities; on-site support as needed.

Job description

The FBW & Secondary Flight Control Engineering team and the business are looking for a Senior Professional, Engineering who has product and process to ensure a sustaining program (Challenger, Global Express, Global 8000) while preparing it for the challenges and demands of the future (Ecojet).

• Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
• Support the development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the Flight Control system supplier.
• Perform/Review analysis to evaluate concepts feasibility.
• Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.
  • Review/Prepare technical requirements
  • Review/Prepare test procedures
  • Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing
  • Review/Prepare test reports in support of certification activities
• Resolve problems arising from in-service aircraft.
  • Troubleshooting, root cause determination, corrective action definition and execution
• Ensure compliance to the ARP4754 development process.
• Support trade off studies and life cycle cost analysis for future programs.
• Ensure the design process and the resulting equipment implementation is in line with Bombardier's requirements and standards.

Occasional trips to the Suppliers facilities and Regulatory Authorities, as well as on-site support to the Final Assembly Line (Toronto & Montreal), Completion Centers (Montreal), Flight Test Center (Wichita).
