Job summary

Delta Technologies is seeking an experienced Fixture Builder Journeyman to manage and execute fixture-building operations, set up machining work on Bridgeport machines, and ensure precision gage tooling for automotive components.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in fixture construction, GD&T expertise, and the ability to train 2-3 junior workers in a fast-paced shop environment. Ownership of personal/tools is expected and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years fixture build experience with automotive checking fixtures.
• Working knowledge of fixture build practices.
• Functional understanding of GD&T and its application.
• Experience with 3D viewer software for pulling and dimensioning details from designs.
• Self-starter with positive attitude, good work ethic and punctual.
• Organized and can multitask.
• Owns tools for all fixture-building processes.
• Experience in a fast-paced fixture shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Capable of all aspects of Bridgeport operations and setups for machining simple and complex details.
• Capable of operating surface grinders and jib grinders for making pins.
• Capable of welding (a plus).
• Ensure gauges function properly for the material being measured.
• Understand safe machining processes for different materials.
• Lead/train 2-3 junior fixture builders.
