Job summary

Swift Engineering in San Clemente, CA is hiring an experienced UAS Test Pilot to lead flight testing and training for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The role requires significant experience flying fixed-wing UAVs, operating Ground Control Stations, and developing critical flight documentation.

Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills alongside in-depth knowledge of UAS regulations. The position also includes domestic and international travel and an attractive benefits package including health insurance and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience flying RC fixed-wing aircraft.
• Knowledge of UAS flight dynamics and mission planning tools.
• 2+ years’ experience in flight test support.

Responsibilities

• Act as External Pilot for fixed-wing UAVs during flight testing.
• Operate Ground Control Stations (GCS) during all flight stages.
• Develop and maintain UAS documentation including manuals and training materials.
