Job summary

PGIM Custom Harvest, a division of PGIM Global Wealth, is launching a fixed income SMA platform and seeks a Senior Fixed Income Trader to lead this new capability. You will trade and manage client fixed income portfolios, establish trading processes, and help grow the SMA business.

The role emphasizes end-to-end accountability, best execution, risk management, and collaboration with portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and technology partners.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of fixed income trading experience.
• 3–5 years within an SMA, managed accounts, wealth management, or institutional fixed income platform.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, etc.
• CFA designation is a plus.
• Series 7 and Series 63 (or Series 66) preferred; willingness to obtain if required.
• Ability to build processes, relationships, and infrastructure in a developing business environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working across teams and with external counterparties.
• Disciplined approach to risk management with a clear client-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades across fixed income securities for client SMA accounts.
• Manage day-to-day portfolio activity, cash flows, and risk monitoring.
• Develop and refine trading processes, workflows, and dealer relationships.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and technology partners.
• Maintain best execution and fiduciary standards.
• Support growth of the fixed income SMA business over time.
