Job summary

King County invites applications for a Senior Portfolio Manager to join the KCIP investment team. You will collaborate with the CIO and portfolio managers to administer the KCIP’s investments and support liquidity, with a focus on advising the Executive Finance Committee and related bodies.

The role emphasizes daily cash management, performance reporting, and ensuring timely settlement of multimillion-dollar transactions, while maintaining liquidity and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in portfolio management and fixed income.
• Experience with investment accounting, reporting, and liquidity management.
• Strong knowledge of money-market securities and credit instruments.
• Ability to communicate with executive committees and provide reports.
• Experience with investment systems such as Bloomberg, BondEdge, Yield Book, Singularity, Clearwater.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash management and related investment accounting functions.
• Interact across teams and respond to clients for timely resolutions.
• Report on KCIP performance to committees and management.
• Oversee the investment pool distribution process.
• Maintain liquidity to meet cash demands and support self-liquidity programs.
