Job summary

Everest Global Services, Inc. seeks a Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Investments (Fixed Income) to lead active management of an investment-grade portfolio, targeting net investment income within risk and guideline constraints.

The role collaborates with the CIO and senior investment team to optimize performance and reporting. The position requires 7+ years in fixed income, MBA or CFA preferred, and strong communication and modeling capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fixed income, with preference for those with corporate credit background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and functions.

Responsibilities

• Generate above benchmark excess returns and stable net investment income while staying within risk and guideline constraints.
• Develop fixed income alpha-generation ideas and coordinate trading across managers.
• Partner with internal and external managers to execute strategy.
• Produce market overview and portfolio summaries for senior management reporting.
• Conduct ongoing credit surveillance for fixed income holdings and maintain a credit watchlist.
• Lead manager searches (RFP/RFQ) and perform due diligence and surveillance.
• Support launch of new portfolios and strategies, including implementation planning.
• Enhance ALM by aligning portfolio positioning with liability profile and liquidity.
• Lead investment information systems initiatives to improve data and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on firmwide investment strategy and governance.
