Job summary

Waltonwood Cotswold in Charlotte, NC seeks a full-time Forever Fit Coordinator to lead our exercise and fitness programming across Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. You will teach classes, travel between sites, and collaborate with in-house therapists to arrange one-on-one sessions, advancing residents’ physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of teaching exercise classes, preferably to seniors.
• Degree or coursework in exercise science, athletic training, physical therapy; certified trainer is strongly preferred.
• Senior Fitness Instruction Certification a plus.
• Certification in Yoga, Tai chi and Zumba are preferred.
• Experience with seniors and memory care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for Forever Fit exercise programming.
• Travel to provide fitness programming to multiple sites.
• Lead wellness presentations or health talks with residents.
• Collaborate with in house therapists for one-on-one sessions and daily activities.
• Forecast and schedule fitness classes for all areas of the community.
• Communicate health changes to Life Enrichment Managers and Resident Care Managers.
• Maintain fitness center supplies and equipment.
• Engage residents and build relationships to encourage participation.
