Job summary

VMRC is a Christ-centered nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Harrisonburg, VA. The Group Exercise Instructor will plan, prepare, and lead group fitness classes for older adults, both land and water-based, aligning with Wellness Center standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to design and lead group fitness sessions for older adults.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow ACSM/AEA/ACE guidelines and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and lead assigned group fitness classes (land and water).
• Ensure sessions are safe, engaging and tailored to older adults.
• Submit attendance reports and follow wellness center standards.
• Promote programs and maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
