Job summary

ZT Systems in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Senior Staff Firmware / BMC / BIOS (FA) & Validation Test Engineer to define and execute validation strategies across firmware, BIOS, BMC and platform management on next‑gen hardware.

You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, create validation plans and criteria, perform functional, integration and stress testing, and drive root‑cause analysis to improve quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline with 8+ years in firmware/BIOS/BMC validation.
• Strong knowledge of firmware architectures, BIOS technologies, and server hardware.
• Experience with Python or Shell for automation and test framework development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation strategies for firmware, BIOS, BMC, and platform management.
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Create test plans and qualification criteria aligned with product milestones.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, stress, and reliability testing.
• Drive root cause analysis to identify and fix firmware, hardware, and system issues.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, and quality teams to resolve defects.
• Analyze test results, system logs, telemetry, and diagnostic data to identify trends and risks.
• Develop validation metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for product readiness.
• Support new feature bring-up and pre-production qualification activities.
• Validate firmware releases for manufacturing and deployment.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and implement automation.
