Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Firmware Security, to drive security in firmware across Google's platforms. You will perform security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing to highlight risk and help teams improve security.

You will collaborate with security and software engineers to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigations, strengthening security by design for Google Cloud products and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
• 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing.
• Guide engineers and partners to improve security and secure designs.
• Review designs for vulnerabilities and remediate with mitigations.
• Leverage security tools and processes to strengthen Cloud security.
