Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop reliable embedded software and Linux drivers. You will own code quality, testing, and documentation while building features in Python and Go on Debian/ARM systems.

Collaborate across hardware, firmware, mobile, and backend teams to deliver robust products with strong security protocols. Applicants should have 7+ years in C/C++, RTOS experience, and familiarity with CI/CD processes, Jira, Zendesk and TestRail.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience programming in C or C++.
• Experience with RTOS (Zephyr/FreeRTOS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and basic principles.
• Strong debugging and code analysis skills.
• Experience with JIRA, Zendesk and TestRail.
• Willingness to work autonomously and stay organized.
• Bachelor's Degree completed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reliable software for embedded systems and Linux drivers.
• Own code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Develop features in Python and Go running as system services on Debian/ARM.
• Create/execute test scripts with QA for lifecycle, unit, regression tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, mobile, backend.
• Develop drivers for Linux and test security communications protocols.
• Support manufacturing and bring-up for product quality control.
