Job summary

EY is recruiting for a Firewall Operations Solution Architect/Network Sensing Analyst to deploy, configure, and manage firewall and network sensing solutions across client environments. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture.

The role requires 2–3 years in network security operations, hands-on firewall experience, and familiarity with Splunk and Netography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in network security operations, with a focus on firewall management.
• Hands-on experience with firewall products is required.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Experience with Checkpoint and Tufin.
• Experience with security monitoring tools such as Splunk and familiarity with Netography.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance requirements.
• Provide support for security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to security standards and policies.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training for staff regarding firewall operations and network security best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on firewall management and incident response processes.
