Job summary

Fortis Fire & Safety, Inc. is seeking a motivated Fire Sprinkler & Alarm Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain water-based fire protection systems across commercial and residential properties. The role requires independent work, route management, and clear customer communication.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on inspection experience, knowledge of NFPA 25, and familiarity with NFPA 72 and Florida fire codes. Travel may be involved and ongoing certification updates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years inspecting and maintaining fire sprinkler systems or water-based fire protection systems.
• Fire alarm experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 25 and familiarity with NFPA 72 and Florida fire code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow devices, fire pumps, and fire alarm systems.
• Document inspection results and deficiencies with accurate reports.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers clearly and professionally.
• Read and interpret sprinkler drawings, hydraulic information, and wiring diagrams.
• Mentor junior inspectors and provide technical guidance as needed.
