Senior Fire Sprinkler Inspectors perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. They also supply hands-on training and coaching to entry-level Inspectors.
As a Senior Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will:
- Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
- Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
- Provide subject matter expertise to peers.
- Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions.
- Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites.
- Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types.
- Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site.
- Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- On-the-job experience with reading and understanding design and construction documents, estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs.
- 3+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Ability and willingness to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
- Ability and willingness to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
- 5+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Must obtain NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level II or higher or state certification within 12 months.
