Titan Fire & Life Safety in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer to independently manage designs from concept through permitting and construction. You will handle shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and permit packages while ensuring NFPA and local code compliance.

The ideal candidate has NICET II and 5+ years of experience, with proficiency in AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD. This hands-on role emphasizes design quality, accountability, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems Layout (minimum).
• Minimum 5 years of professional fire sprinkler design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, or comparable fire sprinkler design software.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, and 24.
• Experience preparing hydraulic calculations and permit-ready construction documents.
• Proven ability to independently complete complex design assignments with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Independently design commercial, industrial, residential, and specialty fire sprinkler systems.
• Prepare complete shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, material submittals, and permit packages.
• Ensure compliance with applicable NFPA standards, California codes, and local AHJ requirements.
• Manage multiple design projects while consistently meeting established deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, engineers, contractors, and AHJs.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify conflicts and resolve design issues.
• Respond to plan-check comments and facilitate timely permit approvals.
• Proactively communicate project status, potential delays, and critical issues to management.
• Provide technical support during installation, inspections, and project closeout.
• Assist with quality control, design standardization, and mentoring junior designers.

Position Overview

Titan Fire & Life Safety is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our growing team. We are looking for a technically proficient professional who can independently manage fire sprinkler designs from initial concept through permitting and construction.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of their projects, consistently meets deadlines, communicates proactively, and produces accurate, code-compliant designs with minimal supervision.

This is a hands-on technical position focused on design production, quality, efficiency, and accountability rather than departmental management.

Key Responsibilities
