Job summary

Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, seeks an experienced Fire Protection Project Engineer in Richmond, VA. You will lead design of active and passive fire protection, mentor junior engineers, and work on federal, municipal, university, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities include preparing narratives, reports, specs, and drawings using Revit and hydraulic software, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure high-quality designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Minimum 6 years in the fire protection engineering field.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) with the fire protection exam.

Responsibilities

• Apply design experience to fire alarm and fire suppression systems and passive protection.
• Prepare narratives, reports, specs, and drawings; coordinate with disciplines.
• Perform fire suppression system calculations and life-safety analyses.
