Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a senior-level fire protection and safety professional to lead enterprise programs across manufacturing, logistics, retail, and corporate operations.

You will establish standards, manage risk assessments and audits, and drive improvements with cross-functional teams. The role requires expertise in fire protection design, code interpretation, and regulatory compliance, with travel to multiple sites and collaboration with external authorities.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Fire Protection) or equivalent with 8+ years’ full-time experience.
• MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Fire Protection) with 6+ years’ full-time experience.
• PE license or related certification required.
• Knowledge and experience of NFPA, OSHA, and FM related standards.
• Health & Safety regulatory framework awareness for equipment directives.
• Ability to travel 40–60%.
• Audit techniques and strong safety leadership.
• Ability to interpret standards, codes, hydraulics, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop company fire protection specifications for manufacturing and non-manufacturing operations.
• Lead Disaster Prevention Governance Committee as fire protection SME.
• Review third-party inspection reports and advise on recommendations.
• Design and evaluate fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems.
• Inspect locations and building designs for fire protection requirements.
• Advise architects and engineers on fire prevention equipment and codes.
