Job summary

Holmes US is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with several years of experience to own high-impact, end-to-end fire safety projects. You will lead performance-based analyses, direct fire and smoke modelling with FDS, and coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.

As a mentor to junior engineers and EITs, you will review work, develop fee proposals, and contribute to business development while advancing your career in a globally connected design firm. Hybrid work options are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline; MS preferred.
• 4+ years in fire safety consultancy or related field.
• Active PE licensure; strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and fire modelling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Performance Based Fire Engineering analyses and design.
• Perform fire and smoke modelling with FDS and similar tools.
• Lead occupant evacuation modelling using Pathfinder and Evacnet.
• Author and QC high-quality engineering reports and deliverables.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with consultants and agencies.
• Mentor and review juniors and EITs; help grow the team.
• Develop fee proposals and lead scope negotiations on complex projects.
