Job summary

LaBella Associates is hiring a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for its Building Engineering division with offices in Rochester, Albany, Ithaca, Poughkeepsie, Syracuse, or White Plains. You will lead fire protection design, including sprinkler, alarm, egress, and code analysis, and help develop a dedicated fire protection service team.

Expected to collaborate with clients and manage projects. The role offers leadership opportunities, project oversight, and potential growth into office leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a professional A/E services firm preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Science preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fire protection engineering staff to develop concepts, strategies, and reports for projects.
• Develop a fire protection group focused on system design, fire alarm, code review, and modeling.
• Design and manage fire protection systems including sprinkler and fire alarm.
