Job summary

Central Plateau Cleanup Company in Richland, WA, seeks a Fire Protection Engineer on a career track to lead and implement the Fire Protection Program (FPP) across Hanford site facilities. You will oversee design reviews, hazard analyses, and programmatic assessments to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a engineering or science degree with substantial related experience and familiarity with DOE orders, NFPA standards, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with DOE orders/standards and safety requirements for facility design.

Responsibilities

• Implement the CPCCo Fire Protection Program (FPP) through inspections, assessments, design and document reviews.
• Develop, review and implement fire protection documents such as Fire Hazards Analysis.
• Run the CPCCo FPP by programmatic assessments and improvements.
• Process exemptions, variances, or deviations from fire protection standards.
• Support safety culture to protect workers, property, the public, and the environment.
• Provide fire protection system maintenance oversight and reviews.
