Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a senior fire protection engineer to own the fire protection design scope across our data center portfolio. You will lead the development, specification, and execution of fire detection and suppression systems from concept to construction documents, ensuring code compliance and alignment with Fluidstack standards.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and controls teams to integrate life safety systems, negotiate with AHJs, and support commissioning and capacity

Qualifications

• Designed, specified and stood up fire detection and suppression systems for mission‑critical facilities.
• Negotiated code‑compliant alternatives with fire marshals/AHJs to keep permitting off the critical path.
• Coordinated fire protection design with electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering to integrate life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Own fire protection scope from concept through construction documents for the data center portfolio.
• Review and approve fire protection submittals and shop drawings for code compliance and Fluidstack standards.
• Support commissioning of fire detection and suppression systems and advise on capacity additions and retrofits.
