Job summary

Fluidstack in Seattle is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to design and engineer protection systems for modular units and BTM plants. You will own hydraulic calculations, layout components, and ensure designs are fabrication-friendly.

You will lead permitting and commissioning, answer AHJ questions, and drive acceptance testing. Familiarity with NFPA 13 and 72, and knowledge of AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD is a plus. Fluency in delivering practical, code-aware solutions is essential.

Qualifications

• You have designed fire protection systems for industrial or mission-critical facilities.
• You run your own hydraulic calcs and stand behind them.
• You have taken designs through plan review and acceptance testing.
• You know NFPA 13 and 72 well and look up the rest fast.
• You design for fabrication, not just for the code minimum.
• Bonus: Clean agent systems, water mist systems, BESS protection (NFPA 855), AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD, NICET or PE track.
