Overview

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to support a multidisciplinary engineering organization delivering commercial, institutional, government, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced fire protection professional who combines strong technical expertise with project management, client engagement, and consulting experience.

The successful candidate will lead fire protection engineering projects, perform system design and code analysis, manage client relationships, and provide technical leadership across a variety of project types. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, mentor team members, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Protection Engineering & Design

• Evaluate existing fire protection systems and develop recommendations for upgrades and improvements.


• Design fire suppression, fire alarm, detection, and mass notification systems for a variety of facility types.


• Perform building and fire code analysis, interpretation, and compliance reviews.


• Develop engineering reports, technical studies, and system design documentation.


• Prepare engineering judgments and alternative methods analyses where applicable.


• Support life safety and fire protection strategies throughout project development.


• Review engineering deliverables and provide quality assurance oversight.

Project Management & Leadership

• Manage multiple fire protection engineering projects simultaneously.


• Lead project execution while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives.


• Coordinate engineering efforts with multidisciplinary project teams.


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.


• Support project planning, resource allocation, and technical decision-making.

Required Qualifications
