Job summary

EFI Global seeks a seasoned Fire Investigator to independently conduct extensive investigations determining the origin and cause of fires in commercial buildings or residences. You will prepare reports, attend depositions, and provide testimony as needed.

The role requires strong communication, analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team, and to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Travel may be required in a dynamic, global firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• IAAI-CFI or CFEI certification preferred or required.
• Five (5) years of fire investigation experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Investigates assigned claims suspected of insurance fraud and large losses.
• Provides expert testimony on origin and cause of fires for depositions and trials.
• Maintains confidential claims files and communicates developments to management.
