Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Technician for on-site work across the Kansas City metro. You will install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm and life-safety systems, including panel and device programming, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Several years of field experience troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 101, local codes, and testing requirements.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate service reports.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Diagnose panel, device, and circuit faults using drawings and manufacturer docs.
• Program fire alarm panels and devices and interface with suppression systems.
• Document work through service reports and records; maintain compliance.
• Coordinate scheduling with customers and project teams; mentor junior technicians.
